Abstract: Suitability of different hosts' pupae to parasitization by Dastarcus helophoroides were observed under no choice and choice situations in the laboratory. No choice experiments showed that D. helophoroides could parasitize and emerge from pupae of Monochamus alternatus, Saperda populnea, Zophobas morio and Tenebrio molitor, with parasitism rates of 86.44%、76.32%、88.49% and 2.65%, respectively, and emergence rates of 93.80%, 90.17%, 97.42% and 56.75%, respectively. However, it could not parasitize pupae of Antheraea pernyi. The searching and parasitism of hosts by D. helophoroides were not influenced by physical barriers. In choice experiments, D. helophoroides showed preference for hosts: Monochamus alternatus> Saperda populnea> Zophobas morio >Tenebrio molitor.
