Abstract: Results of experiments conducted from 1983-8s showed that A. qifuensis has 11 to 12 generations a year in Shenyang. The parasiteoverwinters as matured larva inside the host mummy en storad Chinese cabbage and radish. Its life cycle requires 308.28 degree-days. Mass propagation of A. qifueasia was readily accomplished by rearing green peach aphid (Myzus persicas) as the host on snail radish, Raohanua aativus L.. With this method, an average of 1,286 (maximum 3,856) parasites could be produced on one plant. A female parasite could oviposit. on 117 to 143 aphids, with a sex ratio of 1:0.73 (femals:male) for the progeny under 18-25°C temperature. The optimum temperature for parasltization by A. qifuensis was 20-23°C, whereas the host aphid could be reared at 13-30°C, with the optimum temperature being 20-27°C. Release of the mass propagated A. Sifuensis in the plastic vegetable tunnel resulted in affective control of Mt. persicas on pepper and cucumber, comparing to the control tunnel wher...更多e aix applications of pesticidas were needed for controlling the aphid.
