The results showed that inoculation with A21-4 significantly enhanced stem diameter, chlorophyll content and root activity of pepper in adult stage by 23.66%, 56.26% and 42.24%, respectively, compared with those under control. Protein, vitamin C and nitrate nitrogen contents were all significantly increased by 29.32%, 53.97% and 129.84%, respectively, in pepper fruits; The catalase, urease and phosphatase activities of rhizosphere soil were increased by 22.95%-32.31%, 24.32%-94.11% and 49.41%-271.74%, respectively. Available N, available P and available K contents were increased by 7.60%-49.25%, 7.24%-17.93% and 12.70%-25.61%, respectively. In addition, treatment of A21-4 promoted significantly the numbers of rhizosphere soil bacteria and actinomycetes, but significantly reduced the numbers of rhizosphere soil fungi. %U http://www.zgswfz.com.cn/EN/10.16409/j.cnki.2095-039x.2016.01.013
