The three seed coating agents were 3.5% Manshijin+30% Ruisheng, Fuliang (40% bromoyl thiamethoxazine seed treatment suspension), and 5 billion spores/g Beauveria bassiana. All the pesticide treatments did not cause phytotoxicity, indicating their safety for fresh corn. Seed coating improved the vigor and germination rate of seeds. The germinability and germination rate of Jingketian 183 reached the highest of 91.5% and 92.75%, respectively, when the seeds were treated by 3.5% Manshijin+30% Ruisheng. Jingkenuo 2010 showed the highest germination rate (93.0%) when treated by 5 billion/g B. bassiana, and the highest germinability (91.5%) under the treatment of 3.5% Manshijin+30% Ruisheng. The three coating agents increased plant height and dry matter accumulation, while the 5 billion spores/g B. bassiana had the best control of underground pests in Jingketian 183 (79.67%) and Jingkenuo 2010 (88.67%). Therefore, use of B. bassiana in mixture with low toxicity seed coating agents is expected to promote growth and development of plants and control of underground pests. %U http://www.zgswfz.com.cn/EN/10.16409/j.cnki.2095-039x.2019.01.010
