Abstract: In this paper, the acute toxicities of 5% cineole soluble concentrate was evaluated according to the standard of the People's Republic of China "Toxicology and Toxicity Test for Pesticide Registration" (GB15670-1995) and other test methods, which included the acute oral toxicity, acute dermal toxicity, acute inhalation toxicity, acute eye stimulation and acute skin irritation, and the acute toxicity safety. The 5% cineole soluble concentrate showed low acute oral toxicity (LD50=2000 mg/kg BW), low acute dermal toxicity (LD50>2000 mg/kg BW), and low acute inhalation toxicity (LD50>2156 mg/m3) on male and female rats. The 5% cineole soluble concentrate treated to large-ear rabbit's eyes for irritation test showed mild irritation, with I.A.O.I. of seven and M.I.O.I. of less than 5 at 48 h. The 5% cineole soluble concentrate showed no skin irritation to the guinea pigs. The results show that 5% cineole soluble concentrate is safe if used at the recommended dose.
