Research Advances on the Bacillus thuringiensis Vegetative Insecticidal Protein Vip3 and Their Receptors

摘要: 营养期杀虫蛋白Vip3是苏云金芽胞杆菌在对数生长中期开始分泌表达的一类对鳞翅目害虫具有广谱杀虫活性的蛋白质,它与已知的杀虫晶体蛋白相似性很低。本文主要从vip3基因的挖掘,Vip3蛋白的特性、作用受体及其应用等方面作简要综述。

Abstract: Vegetative insecticidal protein Vip3 is a class of novel insecticidal proteins which secreted by many Bacillus thuringiensis strains during their vegetative growth phase. These proteins have high toxicity against a number of lepidopteran pests. They share low homology with δ-endotoxin of B. thuringiensis but share a high level of sequence similarity with others in this family. In this paper, we reviewed the advances on Vip3 research, including gene discovery, features, receptors, mode of action and applications, etc.
