Abstract: The thelytoky Trichogramma embryophagum (Hartig) was treated to different temperatures, including 25, 28, 30 and 35℃, to measure their parasitism, emergence, sex ratio, and preference for rice moth eggs in the F1, F2 and F3 generations. The results showed that parasitism and the number of female offsprings decreased with the increase of temperature and with the increase of generations. The parasitism per female was 64-69 at F1 generation, but decreased to 17.4 at 30℃ and 20.33 at 35℃, respectively, at F3 generation. After high temperature treatment, male offsprings emerged in the population, whose number increased with the increase of temperature and generation number. For example, the male offsprings in F2 accounted for 66.17% at 35℃. Between 20 and 30℃, the time needed for host location in the wasp varied with temperature, reduced with increasing temperature. The results are of theoretical significance for biological control using the thelytoky wasp.
