Abstract: Agasicles hygrophila is one of the superior natural enemy for controlling the invasive weed Alternanthera philoxeroides. In this paper the methods for short-distance and long-distance introduction were described, based on three development stages of Agasicles hygrophila. Adults are suitable for both introduction, eggs and larvae suitable for short-distance introduction. This will improve the bio-control agents for successfully controlling the invasive weed Alternanthera philoxeroides.
