Abstract: Totally ca. 5000 bacterial st rains were isolated in soil samples f rom Shangdong , Inner-Mon-golia and Beijing , in which ca. 1200 were identified as fluorecent antagonist s against fungal pathogen Gaeumannomyces grami nis which caused wheat take-all. By using PCR , 73 isolates were found to be able to biosynthesis antibiotic 2,4-diacetyphloroglucinol (2 ,4-DAPG) , a key factor of biocont rol activ-ities of some biocont rol Pseudomonas . St rain CPF-10 and 2P8 were employed in the further study due to their st rong activity to inhibit the mycelial growth of milk vetch ( Astragalus adsurgens Pall) wilt pathogen Fusarium spp. Sad1 and Sad2 on plate. Biocont rol test in greenhouse revealed that strain CPF-10 significantly suppressed the milk vetch wilt with the efficiencies of 63. 5 % and 67. 8 % , re-spectively , while the st rain 2P8 showed ca. 40 % biocont rol activity to above diseases. Compared with the cont rol , the plant s t reated with CPF-10 or 2P8 showed an enhanced f resh weight and dry weight , indicating that these 2 ,4-DAPGproducers promoted plant growth following the seed t reatment . Colo-nization investigation also showed that both CPF-10 and 2P8 could stably colonize the rihizosphere of milk vetch and their endophytic populations gradually increased during the experimental period.
