Abstract: A total of 51 bacterial strains were isolated from water and silt of a salt lake. Taxonomic status of these strains were primarily identified by 16S rDNA and gyrB gene sequences analysis. Meanwhile the tolerance to NaCl and the antimicrobial spectra against 13 fungal pathogens, including Fusarium spp. and Phytophthora capsici, were tested. A total of 13 bacterial strains showed antimicrobial activity against 13 pathogen fungi which could also grow normally in the LB medium supplemented with 10% NaCl. Among these strains, the growth rate of No.10 and No.27 strains was significantly higher than that of a biocontrol bacterium B916 in the LB medium supplemented with 15% NaCl. The salt lake provides abundant resources for the screening of biocontrol bacteria with salt-tolerant. The biocontrol bacteria with the broad antibacterial spectra and salt-tolerant obtained in this study provided strain resources for control fungal diseases in the saline land.
