Abstract: In order to screen the microorganisms which are suitable for the local soil environment in Xinjiang and have the biocontrol potential for O. eaegyptaica, The JTB8-2 was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of diseased O. eaegyptaica in processing tomato field by dilution coating plate method and filter paper plate method respectively. It was identified as B. velezensis by morphology and molecular biology. The corrected inhibition rates for seed germination of 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 time strain fermentation broth were 100%, 100%, 93.60%, 43% and 32.59% respectively, the inhibition rates of 250 and 500 fermentation broth had significantly higher than other strains; the inhibition rates of the crude extracts of 1 μg/mL and 0.5 μg/mL were 100% and 53.25% respectively; the control effect was 66.51% by irrigating the fermentation broth with concentration of 5×105 cfu/mL. The strain had the potential to control O. eaegyptaica, and can be used as a local biocontrol resource in Xinjiang.

Key words: B. velezensis, O. eaegyptaica, antagonistic effect
