Abstract: Heat stable antifungal factor (HSAF) is an antifungal active substance produced by Lysobacter enzymogenes OH11, and it can be developed into an environment-friendly bio-pesticide. In order to further improve the HSAF production, the chemically defined medium was acquired through single factor test, and orthogonal test. Its specific components were:glucose 8 g/L, (NH4) 2SO4 1 g/L, FeCl3 8 mg/L, K2HPO41 g/L and KH2PO40.5 g/L, in which the HSAF production reached (215.46±6.85) mg/L. The advantage of this medium is that the components are known and stable, avoiding the fluctuation of fermentation yield caused by complex components in the medium. Moreover, it is conducive to the study of the characteristics of intracellular metabolism and the key affecting factors of HSAF synthesis, so as to improve the yield and reduce the production cost.
