Abstract: Trichogramma phoretic Beauveria bassiana (TPB) affords improved control of Asian corn borer (ACB). In order to clarify the synergistic mechanism of TPB against the eggs and larvae of ACB, T. dendrolimi phoretic B. bassiana spores labeled with GFP were observed for parasitism and infection of ACB eggs and larvae. The results showed that the fungus spores absorbed on eggs of Antheraea pernyi could be adhered by T. dendrolimi wasps when they emerged from A. pernyi eggs, and were carried onto ACB's eggs. The spores adhered and infected ACB larvae hatched from eggs not parasitized by T. dendrolimi. The rate of ACB larvae with fungus spores was 60.00%, and the rate of cadaver was 27.00% under screen house condition. The results show that TPB promotes pest control and can realize the sustainable ACB management. Also, the results provide a basis for application of natural enemies phoretic biological pesticide.
