Abstract: Quality control plays a key role in commercial production of beneficial insects. The measurable quality criteria of Coccinella septempunctata L.in mass rearing procedure are proposed in this article. (1) Life characters: bodys weight should be no less than 26.9 mg, emergence should exceed 87.7%, and adult longevity should reach 62.9 d. Furthermore, it can be stored no less than 51.63 d. (2)Fecundity characters: preovipositional period should be shorter than 13.7 d, more than 86.9% adult female should lay eggs normally. At the same time, its oviposition period should be longer than 52.9 d, and each female adult can lay more than 4027 eggs in its life. (3)Predator potentials: after starved for 24 h, the adult beetle should consume more than 70 aphids per day when 220 aphids per m² are supplied.
