Abstract: Influence of lambda-cyhalothrin on female adults of Orius sauteri was studied in the predators stressed by lambda-cyhalothrin at LC25, LC50 and LC75 in terms of soybean aphid predation, searching efficiency, prey density effect, intraspecific allocation competition strength, and functional response. The results showed that, in O. sauteri adults stressed with LC25 and LC50 and in the control, prey density effect was obvious while in the insects stressed with LC75, it was not obvious. When the pesticide concentration was 0 mg/L, predation reached the maximum of 12.33 and searching efficiency peaked at 0.96; when the pesticide concentration was 140 mg/L, predation was reduced to the minimum of 0.83 and searching efficiency was reduced to 0.10. With the increase of pesticide concentration, the stressed O. sauteri adults showed decreased predatory capacity and searching efficiency. The predation number increased with the increase of soybean aphid density, the intraspecific allocation competition strength enhanced with the increase of the number of O. sauteri, while the average predation number was reduced. With LC50, the predation efficiency equation of O. sauteri adult is E=0.1255P-0.2956, the allocation competition strength equation is I=0.5401logP-0.0033.
