Abstract: The effect of cold storage of the Tenebrio molitor pupae on the breedi
ng of Scleroderma guani was investigated. Results revealed that S. guani
female wasps reared on 1-2 d old T. molitor pupae showed higher parasitism rate and fecundity and produced more progeny wasps than those reared on 3-4 d and 5-6 d old pupae when these pupae had been stored for 20 d at -4℃ prior exposure to the wasps. The above-mentioned biological parameters of the wasp were higher for the pupae stored for 20 and 30 d than those stored for 1, 5, 10, 45 and 60 d at -4℃; and these parameters were the highest at -4℃ among the four constant temperatures (4, 0,-4 and -8℃) when the pupae were stored for 20 d.
