Abstract: In order to understand the mode of action of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Lx-11, we studied its biological characteristics in respects of temperature, pH, carbon/nitrogen sources, trace elements, inorganic salt and growth curve. Results showed that 28℃, pH 7.0, sucrose, soybean powder, Gly, KH2PO3 and NaCl were optimum for its growth. The optimal culture medium compositions of the orthogonal experiment were yeast extract 1 g/L, sucrose 5 g/L, tryptone 6 g/L, glycine 0.01 g/L and sodium chloride 0.15 g/L. Logarithmic growth was at the first 32 h.
