Abstract: In this study, induced resistance of 114 plant extracts against TMV in tobacco was evaluated, and effect of these plant extracts on inactivation and inhibition of TMV proliferation was also determined. Results showed that the extracts of Litsea cubeba. Zingiber officinale. Sophora flavescens. Illicium verum. Chelidonium majus. Phyllanthus emblica, and Rhus chinensis exhibited significant induced resistance in tobacco against TMV, with the efficacy of 51.28%-78.90%, which has the potential to be used as elicitors to trigger antiviral ability in plants. The study provides a research basis for the development of botanical immunity elicitor.
