Abstract: To ascertain the potential use of co-cultured two Trichoderma strains (T. atroviride HB20111 and T. harzianum TW21990) to control Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerium Owen (FOC), the optimum condition for co-cultured fermentation were detected by plate confrontation culture and seeds germination test, and the control efficiency were detected by pot test in greenhouse. The results showed that HB20111 and TW21990 had good compatibility after co-cultivation on PDA plate at 25℃ for 5 days. A co-culture with the inoculation of the two organisms in the ratio of 1:1, shaked in 130 r/min for 72 h at 25℃, the co-cultured fermentation diluted 500 times could enhance root lengths of cucumber seeds (P<0.05) by soaking seeds treatment. Greenhouse test demonstrated that co-cultured fermentation diluted 500 times had the control efficacy of 73.65% and increased the seedling fresh weight at rate of 35.64% by soaking seeds treatment, respectively. Compared with singly-cultured strain HB20111 and TW21990, the efficiencies of the paired were significantly increased by 6.76%, 9.46% and 11.54%, 13.31%, respectively. Co-cultured fermentation treatment was also significantly reduced the FOC DNA copy numbers in cucumber rhizosphere soils (P<0.05). Therefore, co-cultured HB20111 and TW21990 had significant synergistic effect on the control of cucumber Fusarium wilt, which provided a new insight into development of highly efficient biocontrol agents.
