Abstract: Bacillus licheniformis FJAT-4 is a biocontrol strain against Fusarium oxysporum. In order to improve the solid-fermentation level of the FJAT-4, the fermentation culture media and culture conditions were optimized by using single factor analysis. The medium was mainly the litters from microbial fermentation bed for pig-raising, and the bacterial yield was used as the indicator in all tests. The results showed that optimal fermentation medium formula for FJAT-4 was a mass ratio of 7:3 for litters and wheat bran with 0.05% K2HPO4 and 0.025% MgSO4. The optimal fermentation conditions were temperature 35℃, relative moisture 45%, ventilation 75% and fermentation time for 40 hours. The average bacterial yield of FJAT-4 could reach up to 2.63×109 cfu/g under the optimal condition.
