Abstract: Sclerodermus guani was bred with the prepupa of Tenebrio molitor by directly inoculating female parasitoid in a double-pass tube in the laboratory for evaluating the efficiency of different parasitoid-host ratios. The results showed that parasitoid-host ratios had obvious effects on the emerged number of filial generation per weight of T. molitor and sex ratios of S. guani, the most suitable parasitoid-host ratio being 8:4. The parasitoid-host ratio had significant effect on developmental duration, while at the same host density, the pre-oviposition period of filial generation was shortened with the increase of the parasitoid-host ratio and the developmental duration was reduced with the increase of the number of parental parasitoids inoculated in the double-pass tube. Therefore, 8:4 is the optimal parasitoid-host ratio when S. guani is bred with the prepupa of T. molitor.
