Abstract: To determine the efficacy of five botanical insecticides for control of Apolygus lucorum, laboratory toxicity and field efficacy testing were conducted using residual film and spraying methods. The results showed that the toxicity after 24 hours ranked from high to low was azadirachtin, matrine, rotenone, celangulins, and cnidiadin, with LC50 values of 12.99, 25.12, 31.05, 142.98, and 287.93 mg/L, respectively. 1% matrine SL 1000×achieved the best control of 87.18% at 7 d post treatment and 94.49% at 14 d post treatment. The results are meaningful for control of A. lucorum using botanical insecticides.
