Abstract: Plant diseases pose a serious threat to global agricultural productivity and crop quality. Long-term reliance on chemical pesticides for disease control has triggered various challenges, including increased pathogen resistance, pesticide residues, and environmental pollution. Consequently, environmentally friendly biological control strategies have attracted increasing attention. Bacillus spp. are important plant-beneficial microorganisms and show great potential in the biological control of plant diseases. In recent years, advances in molecular biology and multi-omics technologies have significantly promoted the exploration of Bacillus resources and the elucidation of their multifaceted biocontrol mechanisms, as well as the development and industrial application of Bacillus-based agents. This review systematically summarizes recent advances in biocontrol Bacillus, including resource exploration, mechanisms of action, and application development, and discusses future research priorities and application prospects.

Key words: plant diseases, Bacillus spp., biological control, mechanism, product application
