Progress on Application and Mechanism of Oligosaccahrides in Plant Biocontrol Response

Abstract

Abstract: Plant induced defense is a current hot topic of biocontrol research in the world. Oligosaccharides is a kind of elicitor, it has been shown a wide range of biological applications in plant immunity regulation and defense induction against pathogen. Employing oligosaccahrides induced resistance for sustainable plant protection against pathogens is a new strategy in crop protection. This paper summarizes the origin of oligosaccharides which are widely used at present and their practical application in different crops. Recent advances in oligosaccahrides signal perception are also presented in this review.
