Abstract: To screen biopesticides for controlling black rot of sweet potato, the inhibitory activities of 9 biopesticides against mycelial growth and conidial germination of Ceratocystis fimbriata Ellis et Halsted were measured and the control efficacies were tested. The results showed that tetramycin had the highest inhibitory activities to conidial germination and mycelial growth, with the EC50 values of 0.10 and 0.15 mg/L, respectively. Eugenol showed the second highest inhibitory activities, with the EC50 values of 0.24 and 0.93 mg/L, respectively. When inoculated C. fimbriata with 5×104 spores/mL, control efficacy of tetramycin at 6 and 9 mg/L were 66.67% and 78.57%, respectively; At 5×105 spores/mL, the efficacy were 77.44% and 90.23%, respectively. This study provided an experimental basis for rational use of biopesticides for controlling black rot of sweet potato.
