Abstract: Ectropis grisescens Nucleopolyhedrovirus (EgNPV) is an important pathogenic microorganism of Ectropis grisescens Warren. A series of bioassays of E. grisescens and E. obliqua from two related species of tea were analyzed to determine its pathogenicity. Results showed that the LD-P equation for the 2nd instar larvae of E. grisescens and E. obliqua was y=0.943x+0.3582; y=0.663x+1.614. And the value of LC50 for the 2nd instar larvae was 8.3×104 PIB/mL and 1.3×105PIB/mL. The mortality trend for 1st―3rd instar larvae of E. grisescens and E. obliqua infected by different concentrations of EgNPV were roughly the same. Reaching the same pathogenicity, the E. grisescens was one day faster than the E. obliqua when at the same age. The death rate of EgNPV was more than 80% to both 2nd instar larvae of 1st, 2nd and 6th generations when infected with EgNPV in the concentration of 2×106PIB/mL. The results provided a basis for effectively improving the control effect of EgNPV.
