Abstract: Picromerus lewisi Scott is an important predator of multiple pests, and has been used in biological control programs.Egg duration and hatching rate, duration, weight, and survival rate of each nymphal stage, and longevity of adult females were measured at relative humidity (RH) of 10%,30%,50%,70%,and 90%.The results indicated that 10% RH had a significant effect on the developmental duration of low instar nymphs compared with 70% RH in the control group, while 90% RH had a relatively small effect. At 10% RH,the development duration of eggs and nymphs was significantly prolonged, the hatching rate of eggs and the survival rate of nymphs were significantly decreased, the weight of nymphs was significantly affected, and the longevity of adult females was significantly shortened. The effects of 10% RH on P.lewisi decreased gradually with the increase of instar, and 90% RH had significant effect on only adult weight.
