Abstract: Six Trichoderma strains were isolated from 16 rhizosphere soil samples of Hainan Rubber Plantation by the plate dilution method. An isolates T008 was screened out by dual culture, determination of non-volatile substance and volatile substances and chitinase activity, which had a significant inhibitory effect on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Corynespora cassiicola. The isolates T008 was identified as Trichoderma asperellum by molecular identification and morphological identification methods. The inhibition rates of Trichoderma asperellum T008 against C. gloeosporioides and C. cassiicola were 61.02% and 58.60%, respectively, which had a good preventive effect on these two diseases. These results indicated that the T. asperellum T008 could be used as a potential biocontrol agent against anthracnose and corynespora leaf fall disease of Hevea brasiliensis.
