Abstract: Endophytes and plants coexist for a long time, and they co-evolve for mutual benefits.Under the influence of stress factors, the community composition of endophytic bacteria will change accordingly and play an important role in plant protection. However, the effects of pathogen stress on the community structure of endophytic bacterial in Camellia oleifera leaves has not been systematically investigated. In order to understand how the endophytic microbial community in leaves of Camellia anthracnose participates in plant defense after being infected by anthrax, the community composition and diversity of the endophytic bacteria in the diseased and healthy leaves of C.oleifera in Yunnan were analyzed via high-throughput sequencing technology.Alpha diversity analysis showed that the richness index of Chao1 and ACE were significantly increased after infection by anthracnose, while the diversity index of Simpson and Shannon were not significantly changed. At the phylum level, the phyla with a relative abundance more than 1% in diseased and healthy leaves were same, but the abundance in diseased leaves was higher than that in healthy leaves. At the genus level,Methylobacterium(1.91%) was dominant in diseased leaves, and Pontibacter(1.41%) was dominant in healthy leaves. There were 5 special genera in diseased leaves, and 3 special genera in healthy leaves.Bugbase functional prediction showed that the biofilm-producing ability and oxidative stress tolerance of the endophytic bacteria in the diseased leaves were enhanced, the relative abundance of gram-positive bacteria was increased and that of gram-negative bacteria were decreased. This paper suggests that the occurrence of C.oleifera anthracnose changed the community structure of endophytic bacteria in C.oleifera leaves, allowing a few disease-resistant related species to grow dominantly. The research is of significance in biological control of C.oleifera anthracnose.
